When this kennel has a wet dream, they emphasize the WET.  Six hounds, one AHAB, and one hare came together on this drizzly day to share a pint and think about running.  Hare Cum Analyst had big plans for ChooChoo H3 hash #69 + 8, beginning and ending over a barrel at the Greenhouse with Oddstory’s finest BEER.  Walk O’Shamy went straight for the 9% ABV Belgian brew to get this party started.

The hare promised to keep the hounds out of the rain, and so she did. As a break in the weather arrived, the GM quickly gathered up the circle, blessed the hare, and the pack dashed down MLK Blvd.  They found one mark, then two, then three, and they howled ON ON!  Two blocks down, they rounded a corner only to find a BACK CHECK.  Since there had been no checks on this trail, there was only one place to go – right back to the Greenhouse for DOWN DOWN.

Without catching a drop of rain, the pack resumed their BEER and voted on trail.  It was a close vote, but such a short jaunt was ultimately declared NO TRAIL!  First in was Party up the Back, and last in was Rug Muncher, who decided to try out being a “gentleman”.  He has vowed never again. 

With minimal trail, there were neither hare charges nor trail charges, but Cut It Short had to drink it down down down for forgetting his necklace and lanyard for the first time in his 15 years of hashing.  The shame!

Next was INTERRUPTUS.  As always, it is important to cum and cum often to the hash. Party up the Back and Sloppy Seconds failed to do so, but the kennel welcomed them back with open arms and made them drink it down down down.

Finally, it was time for BUSINESS:

• Next hash February 8, hare TBD – a masked dash with a Mardi Gras theme.
• Lots of NAMINGS cumming up – Just Leah, Just Tom, Just Katie, and Just Angela have all reached Shocker status with three or more hashes. Cum to the next hash to make sure they are appropriately roasted.

As circle closed, the hash moved a great distance for the On After – to the front of the Greenhouse.  The hounds had much BEER, much merriment, and stayed toasty warm.
